Goat Shares

Pampatike Organic Farm offers goat milk and cheese products from Nubian dairy goats boarded on the 117-acre organic farm. People who purchase shares in the dairy goats under a boarding contract receive raw milk and or cheese from the pasture-raised goats. Cheese choices include chevre, feta, ricotta, jack, cheddar, and feta marinated in olive oil. Organic produce, honey, and eggs from free-range chickens are available for purchase by goat herd shareholders. The farm is located about 45 minutes northeast of Richmond, VA, about one hour south of Fredericksburg, VA, and about one hour north of Hampton Rhodes.

I have been raising dairy goats and making goat cheese on this farm for over 20 years.

Goat Share Purchase Price: $100.00 per share to purchase one full share in the dairy herd. Purchase price is non-refundable, but you may sell your share to someone else. Fractional shares are available, too (i.e., 1/2 shares, 1/4 shares).

Goat Share Boarding Fees:

$14.00 per week for each full raw milk share. A full milk share is equivalent to about one gallon a week depending on average production of the herd.

$22.00 boarding fee per week for each full raw milk cheese share (shipping extra). A full cheese share is equivalent to about 1.5 pounds of a week depending on average production of the herd.
